The Road Less Traveled or better known as Baby Steps by Dave Ramsey is a path not many choose to take. This path includes many hardships, trials, errors, and also some successes. This path is for a select few who wish to enhance their circumstances by understanding a set of principles that many millionaires and billionaires have used and one that is tried and true. Of course, these protocols are subject to change and may have lasting impacts on future generations to come however, the biggest study among millionaires conducted by Dave Ramsey and his team concluded that these set of protocols would get you closer to retiring A millionaire than if you had none at all!

The Baby Steps are as follows:

  1. Save $1000 for your starter emergency fund.
  2. Pay off all debt using the snowball method (Except House)
  3. Save 3-6 months of expenses in a fully-funded emergency fund.
  4. Invest 15% of your household income into retirement.
  5. Save for your children's college fund.
  6. Pay off your home early.
  7. Build wealth and give.
Using these baby steps along with a few minor tweaks to affect your situation you have a tried and true formula for success. This study was conducted on over 10,000 self-made millionaires. This means no inheritance or trust fund babies. I use these baby steps along with my daily endeavors as a guide to building wealth. My income sources may differ from yours however the goal of the Hustle Material brand is to provide information on how to build wealth and any tips, tricks, or advice for anyone thinking of joining the HustleFam. We are a social media community engaging primarily online however there may be times where some community members may connect through other means.
